Lunch theft

So peacefully eating fish and chips outside.
Suddenly there was a flurry of wings by my ear followed by the removal of about 1/3 of the fish.
The culprit? A local kookaburra. I don't think this thief will be brought to justice.

Kookaburras can be quite aggressive if they have been fed before. This one was obviously a practiced lunch thief.

  1. One thing about dynamic view is that it's no use to comment in the box under the post. I have to type it again. Or perhaps it's because of the word verification?

I have to google for "Kookaburra" to know what it really is. I think it's cute. At first, I thought it was a cat, lol, but then found out that it's a bird.

    "Spangled Kookaburra" looks beautiful.

  2. We have two species of Kookaburra locally. The thief was probably a Laughing Kooka because I didn't notice a huge blue patch on his wing.
